What does opting out actually do?
Your name, email, and any associated record are added to a permanent suppression list.
We remove the record from our active database and exclude it from all future exports,
API calls, and verification flows. We retain a minimal hash of your email so we can keep
you out even if a future source tries to re-add you.
How long does removal take?
Suppression takes effect immediately upon verification. Full deletion across backups and
propagation to recent exports completes within 30 days, in line with GDPR Article 17 and
CCPA timelines.
Will this remove me from other databases?
No. This request only applies to CompanyProspect. Each data provider runs its own
opt-out process. You'll need to submit separate requests to each broker, or use a
privacy service that handles this for you.
I don't know which email is on file. What should I enter?
Use your most-used professional email. You can list additional addresses in the
Additional emails field. We'll suppress every address you provide and send
verification to the primary one.
I'm submitting on behalf of someone else.
That's allowed if you're legally authorized (e.g., a parent, legal guardian, or
authorized agent). Use the data subject's email so they receive the verification link,
and add context in the Anything else field. For bulk or corporate suppression
requests, email privacy@companyprospect.com.
Do I need to be a CompanyProspect customer?
No. Opt-out is free, requires no account, and is open to anyone — whether or not you've
ever interacted with our product.
